Progetto EVOKED
European Museums for Vocational Education
Il Progetto Erasmus+ EVOKED unisce le seguenti realtà europee:
Hungarian Museum of Trade and Tourism, Budapest, (capofila);
Hotel and Restaurant Museum, Helsinki;
The Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral, RijeKa;
TWAM, Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums, New Castle, UK;
AECA, Associazione Emiliano-Romagnola di centri autonomi di formazione professionale;
Cyprus Food and Nutrition Museum, Lefkosia, Cypro;
Musei del Cibo della provincia di Parma, Parma;
Croatian Museum of Tourism, Opatija.
Il progetto ha una durata di 36 mesi, con inizio l’1 Settembre 2018 e termine il 31 Agosto 2021; prevede incontri dei partner nelle diverse città in cui hanno sede le diverse realtà. Gli incontri saranno di due tipi: di aggiornamento del progetto e incontri formativi su temi specifici aperti anche a un pubblico più ampio (insegnanti, scuole …).
L’obiettivo principale è quello di trovare buone pratiche e modalità innovative perché i musei possano essere delle reali opportunità formative per gli studenti di scuole professionali, in particolare di quelle legate al turismo all’enogastronomia.
Nell’ambito del progetto EVOKED nel Novembre 2020 si terrà un incontro di lavoro dei partner a Parma; in concomitanza verrà organizzato dai Musei del Cibo un seminario aperto a scuole e insegnanti di scuole professionali sull’utilizzo dei musei come risorsa didattica.

The training will demonstrate the MKVM's practice in using multisensory activities and critical thinking skills in museum education sessions to VET students. It will highlight its current practice of cooperative projects, participation in skills competitions. |
Helsinki Hotel and Restaurant Museum |

Using documents and historical examples in strengthening students' professional identities. The Finnish Museum is going to share the experiences and lessons learnt at their ongoing national project in which they are travelling to VET schools to present specific topics as well as develop students' key competencies and skills. |
Rijeka Maritime and History Museum of Croatian Littoral |

How to use museum objects and museum collections as educational tools for training of VET students. The museum has vast experience in working with maritime students to preserve traditional crafts as well as with students from textile and trade schools helping them design new goods based on the museum collections. |

The training sessions will be focused on the best ways to deliver and evaluate lesson plans in Vocational Education. Some of the topics covered by the training session will be the following: Teaching relationships, Teaching models, Teaching skills and strategies, Planning and preparation, Delivery of teaching and learning, Assessing learning, Teacher reflection and Reflective practice, Responding to learner feedback, Improving practice through personal reflection, Sharing with colleagues to improve practice, Developing a repertoire of skills and strategies, Learning from experience, Observation of teaching and learning, Support from colleagues. During this learning event, we also intend to visit the Touriseum in süd-Tirol region that was planning to participate in this project but had to withdraw due to a busy schedule and lack of personnel. That is why this event is planned one day longer. |

Museums Working with VET Students in Tourism. The training will demonstrate the social and economic benefits of cultural institutions in tourism, especially on occasions of cities chosen to be European Cultural Capital. The region will attract lots of tourists and the training will look at the training of young people (either outside or in formal education) to become tourist guides in the city. It will also look at ways and practicalities of cultural institutions cooperating with the catering and hospitality industry. |

Food Museums as mirror of their territory: resource for VET students. The program will include lots of site visits to the different museums, discussions with counterparts and local teachers on the utilisation of these museums as resources for VET institutions. By this time the pilot education sessions will have been designed and tested so at the training, participants can share their experiences of these as well. Parma will be the Culture National City in 2020, so the organizers can shape the learning around relevant events. |

The TWAM training in March 2021 will focus on their work with young people from a variety of backgrounds, in particular young people with limited access to cultural opportunities. Participants will explore strategies to engage with young people through FE routes so that they can enable young people to engage with their museums in a range of ways and shape their work for the future. Training sessions will include themes of; Developing employability skills Young people as creative collaborators in museums Diversifying our museums workforce Partnership and planning |

FM training theme will be: " Using digital collections of museums to deliver and enhance the curriculum in VET". This topic will be examined via various perspectives such as: Use of digital collection in museum education, Informal Museum Education Programmes, Community Outreach Programmes, Museum Education Program Planning, Funding for Museum Programmes, Culture and Education Integration in the Formal Curriculum and Informal programmes, Museums and the National Identity Technologies in the museum, Museums as knowledge makers, Museums as cultural creators |
